How Time Flies

It is hard to believe that it is the first of July!  It seems like we just celebrated Christmas and now we are half way through the year.  Many agree with me that time seems to be flying by.  We are reminded in various portions of the Bible that we should not be surprised with the rapid passing of time.  In Psalm 144 the Psalmist says:  "O Lord, what is man that you regard him, or the son of man that you think of him?  Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow."  As generations come and go, the Psalmist is amazed that the eternal God has interest in temporal man.  While the seconds, minutes and hours stream by, God is aware of each of them.  He even entered into our time in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ in order to redeem our time.  Those who trust in believe in Jesus as Savior are able to rejoice with each moment, for our time ultimately leads to heaven where there will be no time, only constant peace and joy for all eternity.
